Researchers at the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru have developed Vāgdhenu, a meter-aware text-to-speech system that converts written Sanskrit ślokas into vocalized chants. Led by Professor Prathosh A P, the new tool is specifically engineered to accurately reproduce the traditional rhythmic structures of the ancient language.
