NetBSD -current has added a new beginner-friendly text editor called atto(1) to its base system as an alternative to vi(1) and xedit(1). It is a modeless, screen-based editor similar to nano, pico, xedit, or emacs, and at only 48 kilobytes it is suitable for inclusion in the rescue system.
