AWS has introduced AWS Lambda MicroVMs, a new serverless compute primitive that provides fully isolated virtual machine sandboxes without shared kernels or resources. This update enables developers to rapidly launch and resume workloads with complete lifecycle control and state preservation for up to eight hours. Furthermore, the service delivers these capabilities without requiring users to manage any underlying infrastructure.
