Organized by Caltech undergraduates, the Caltech Mathathon is the first hackathon dedicated to applying artificial intelligence to research-level mathematics. Participants receive $20,000 in AI credits and are evaluated on their mathematical intuition and ability to understand proofs, with chat logs required to verify that the core problem-solving work was completed during the event.
