We're looking for a creative and driven full-stack engineer with a passion for video content and storytelling to help us build the future of local TV.
You’ll be responsible for helping us build the infrastructure for the next-generation video platform for local. Your primary focus will be development and maintenance of our platform API, ensuring the availability and responsiveness to requests from our mobile app front-end, and additionally, we're implementing various AI capabilities into our platform so you will be collaborating with our CV/ML team to assist in implementing these features & APIs.
API and data design considerations for mobile clients
Server software architecture / API design patterns
Real world deployment of high availability services
Systems thinking with privacy and user concerns ‘up front’
Working with AWS or other cloud-based services providers
Experience juggling hosting cost vs performance
Container technologies like Docker
Integration with analytics APIs, dashboards and monitoring tools
Familiarity with CDNs
Familiarity /w relational databases (i.e. MySQL)
Foundational networking technologies like IP, TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, DNSSEC
Ability to work independently, self-directed often. (We're a small team.)
Bonus: Have experience with video hosting and storage, streaming, and/or video on demand infrastructure requirements
This is initially a contract position that we're hoping will become a full-time role based on your fit, performance, and salary needs.
